Single or double stroller: which fits your trip?
Think about naps, walking distances and transport when traveling with two little ones.

Think beyond the number of children
Consider how far each child can comfortably walk and whether both need a seat for naps. Two separate strollers can be flexible when adults split up; a double stroller keeps everyone together but may be heavier or wider.
Compare side-by-side and tandem layouts
Side-by-side models can offer similar seats but require more width. Tandem models may be narrower, though the seats can have different limits or recline options. Check each seat's specifications rather than assuming both seats are suitable for either child.
Measure the places it needs to fit
- Doorways, elevators and storage space at your accommodation.
- Your vehicle's trunk with the stroller folded.
- Current size restrictions at attractions.
- Any shuttle or transit rules affecting folded strollers.
Ask for the model's actual dimensions, not just a description such as compact or travel-friendly. Policies can change, so check directly with the venue before your trip.
Confirm the accessories
Ask whether both seats have canopies, whether recline works independently and what adapters are included. Use only manufacturer-approved attachments. Storage baskets have weight limits and should not replace a second seat.
Compare the full trip cost
Check the daily rate, minimum billable days and delivery fee for each option. A request needs provider confirmation; choose based on a confirmed model and total price rather than a sample photo or an unconfirmed estimate.
