Agree on one clear meeting point
Give the provider the accommodation name and complete address. Mention stairs, elevators, access codes or reception restrictions through your private follow-up—not in a public listing. Check whether the hotel will accept equipment on your behalf.
Confirm both ends of the rental
Arrange a delivery window and a collection window, including your departure time. Ask what happens if your flight is delayed, your room is not ready or your plans change. Airport and attraction handoffs may have restrictions that differ from hotel delivery.
Know what the fee covers
A delivery estimate may cover the full trip, one leg or a specific service area. Confirm the total, any extra distance fees and whether collection is included. Unknown or each-way fees need confirmation before you rely on the trip estimate.
Check the gear when it arrives
- Confirm the item and accessories match your request.
- Inspect visible condition, moving parts and any locks or harnesses.
- Ask for the manufacturer's instructions.
- Discuss cleaning and any concern before using the equipment.
- Save the provider's contact details and agreed return plan.
Keep your request status in perspective
Submitting a request does not reserve equipment. Follow up until the provider confirms availability, final pricing and the handoff arrangements. If you have a confirmed request but the item is unsuitable on arrival, contact the provider promptly and discuss alternatives.
